There is a noted reason why Singapore is a diversified country, equally abundant in its culture and nature. From the most renowned tourist attractions to beautiful mountain ranges covered with verdant greenery, a Singapore visa grants you access to explore the best sites in Singapore. The lush greenery that the country owns impresses its visitors from all over the world.

So put on your hiking boots and prepare to put your hiking skills to the test on these best hiking trails in Singapore.

    Bukit Bakot Nature Park

The tranquil Bukit Nature Park is one nature trail in Singapore that will offer abundant greenery with less than 4 km trail without tiring you out. It has some well-paved, laidback routes with various lookout points and stunning views of the crystal-clear lake in its abandoned quarry. Reconnoiter a few untouched forest paths, but be careful as you trek through the wildlife.

    Rail corridor

The Rail Corridor was once a railway track that has been repurposed into a 24-km-long hiking trail. The four km of its central stretch were refurbished in 2021. The hiking trail features lush landscapes with its heritage of transport systems used between Singapore and Malaysia. Explore the restored bridges and easy access points starting from the Upper Bukit Timah Truss Bridge as you walk past the dairy Farm Nature Park with its unspoiled nature.

    Coast-to-Coast Trail

If you are one of the faint-hearted, then this trek is not for you. The Coast-to-Coast trail stretches over 36 km, taking you across Singapore from Jurong Lake Gardens in the west to Coney Island Park in the northeast. The ambitious nature trails in Singapore with multiple parks and park connectors will challenge you to embark on your fitness goals. If you can’t finish it in one go, don’t worry because the trail includes several viewpoints and wildlife. So, make a plan and start your trek to the C2C trail.

    Kranji Marshes

Kranji Marshes, one of the largest freshwater marshes in the world, is home to over 170 species of birds, 54 different types of butterflies (mostly resembling a fairyland), and 33 different types of dragonflies. If you are lucky, you can spot a few endangered bird species like the Grey-headed Fish Eagle and the Hawk-Eagle. The trail is 1-km-long and open to the public, while 3 km includes a guided tour in the conservation area.

    Chestnut Nature Park

Chestnut Natural Park compresses trails with flatter terrain and an occasional slope, making it a perfect place if you are looking for the best walking trails in Singapore. The park is split into north and south regions; Chestnut Nature Park (North) spans 3.5 km, and Chestnut Nature Park (South) with 2.1 km of hiking trails. It also offers biking trails for more adventure, with 8.2 km of mountain trails. Find the hidden streams along with the endangered bird species on your hike.

    Pulau Ubin

Pulau Ubin draws exploring nature-seekers to its 10 km of lush forests and teeming wildlife spread over 1020 hectares. You can also trek 75m up Puaka Hill for an astounding view from the top, spotting the Pekan Quarry on your walk. If trekking is not enough for you, then a bumboat awaits you to grant time travel to the 60s on Pulau Ubin, and then grab your quality boots and trek through the six varied ecosystems of Check Jawa wetlands.

    Labrador Nature Reserve

A favorite spot for nature lovers, the Labrador Nature Reserve will make you capture every part of its sheer beauty. The trail is about two kilometers long, with the stunning coastline, thriving wildlife, beautiful cliffs, meadows, and marshes blending everything finely to reward its visitors with a scenic view.

The rich vegetation of Singapore has a lot to offer to the hikers. Ensure you carry sufficient water and good pair of boots to enjoy these places to hike in Singapore.
