Everyone would have certainly seen nurses in the hospital’s taking care of their patients in different ways from giving them timely medications to keeping them motivated and taking care of the physical and emotional needs of their patients so that they could recover fast . But, have you thought about their working conditions and the workload that they go through. Nurse generally spends around 12 or more hours on their feet which takes a toll on their body.

Sometimes nurses even have to make a double shift of day and night which disturbs the human biological cycle which on the longer-term have negative impact on the body. Even after contributing so much through your profession you (Nurse) are often treated as a servant rather than a very well trained medical professional. You are a nurse whether you work in a clinic or a hospital patient’s life and care depends upon you. In every day routine you handle a wide range of responsibilities.

In a hospital or as a trained medical professional you serve as a Nurse. In your home you take many responsibilities like of being a mother, sister or maybe a daughter and your family member’s or dependents rely on the income that you earn from this noble profession.

Why should Nurses have disability insurance?

Being nurse is a skilled job and the issue with skilled jobs is that they cannot be replaced. If in case you go through disability and it’s becoming harder for you to recover at first instance you won’t be able to work and on the second instance you will also not be in a position to change your profession.

To become a Nurse one has to go through a specialized medical training which costs a lot to become a nurse. In a disability situation you won’t be able to pay your debt and your finances will certainly get disturbed.

According to an estimate about 25% of 20 years old will become disabled at some point before reaching the age of 70.

Even if you don’t make a lot of money today, that might change over the period of time or maybe in several years. So, it’s better to have disability insurance at a young age.

Your present age and health determines a lot. The younger and healthier you are, less you have to pay for to get disability insurance.

Hazards in the job and difficulty in returning to the work are already taken into account before framing the disability insurance for nurse.

Insurance can also be classified in the type of present work you are involved in e.g. if you are working in a doctor’s clinic and offices than you are at a low risk but not completely out of risk and if you are working in a hospital especially the super specialty hospitals than you are at a high risk.

To secure your future from any type of financial insecurity due to disability could be simply to have disability insurance for nurse .If as a nurse you care about serving and taking care of others life than we as an insurer care about you.
